About CFUMC MOPS
> Policies

  • Arrival time: Please try to be on time (9:00 am) to MOPS meetings so that we may all fully enjoy the planned activities.
  • Confidentiality: MOPS meetings and discussion groups are places for mothers to share and confide in one another. Be respectful of these confidences and keep them as such. As a guideline, never share a situation or prayer request unless the person has given you permission to do so.
  • Infants: Nursing infants and infants up to 6 months of age are permitted in the meeting room with their moms. Please be considerate to speakers and other members and take your fussy child out of the room.
  • Fees: A $20 MOPS International Registration fee provides you with an annual subscription to MomSense Magazine, weekly inspiration emails, a Fresh Air theme CD, a children’s DVD, and a great book for moms. An additional $60 fee will help pay for supplies for the creative activities, speakers, decorations, etc. (total yearly fee $80).

Please do not let finances keep you from attending our MOPS group. Scholarships are available. Contact a committee member for more information.
  • Missed meetings: Please contact your table leader if you must miss a meeting. After two consecutive missed meetings, you may forfeit your spot to someone on the waiting list.
  • Home Business Networking: We will create a directory of businesses for reference by members throughout the MOPS year. MOPS Int. rules dictate that direct advertising be restricted during MOPS meetings.
  • Breakfast: We will rotate responsibility for providing breakfast by table. Your table leader will provide a sign-up sheet.
  • Fundraising: CFUMC graciously pays our charter fees, and provides facilities and volunteers in support of the program, but MOPS is non-profit and financially independent. We will hold fundraisers to help cover costs for our meetings including craft supplies, office supplies, give-aways, MOPPETS snacks and craft supplies.
  • Donations: A list of needed items will be included in the newsletter. We appreciate contributions, as you are able.
  • Guests: We encourage you to invite friends and neighbors to visit MOPS. Due to the large number of MOPPETS enrolled, we cannot provide childcare for visitors.
