Habitat for Humanity

The Chelsea UMC along with several other United Methodist Churches in the area build a home for a family in need. Countless volunteer hours culminate in the joy of an open-house celebration for a family moving into a home of their own. This program needs both skilled and unskilled laborer to devote time and talents to help build this home each year. See the Good News House website.

Interfaith Hospitality Network

Four times each year our church participates in a weeklong program of caring for homeless families of Washtenaw County. Through our hospitality and fellowship, these families take important steps towards independence.

Advent Missions

At Christmas time we participate in the Angel Tree ministry in cooperation with the Salvation Army to provide gifts for needy children in Washtenaw County. We also provide gifts for the residents at Chelsea Retirement Community. Various small groups in the church do additional projects at this time of year.

Chelsea Retirement Community

We help provide Christmas presents to the various residents of Chelsea Retirement Community. Many of our members also serve in ministry to the CRC through a variety of activities including visiting, working in the ice cream parlor, shopping for residents, and numerous other ways.

Faith in Action

A local Chelsea/Dexter area ministry which helps out many families in need with food, clothing, and various other services. We help financial support and collection of various items throughout the year.
