CHELSEA FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
CAMPERSHIP POLICY 2001
Recognizing that the church camp experience is an effective and desirable extension of church and Sunday school teaching of fife in Jesus Christ, the Chelsea First United Methodist Church seeks to encourage participation for all who express an interest in camping by providing camperships to help defray the costs of attending camp.
Funds for camperships shall be attained through church-wide fundraisers occurring in the Spring and Fall.
The Greens Sale takes place in October with delivery in November
A Little Caesar's Pizza Kit Sale takes place in March with delivery in April
All potential campers are expected to participate in making these fundraisers successful by helping with sales and delivery of these items. In addition to these a donation drive will take place in March.
CFUMC camperships shall be applicable only to those United Methodist camps included in the
Detroit Conference Camp Catalog.

Campers from outside the CFUMC family may receive a campership ranging from $50 to $100, depending on the chosen camp, on a one time basis if attending one of the approved camps in the company of one of the above listed eligible recipients. These campers will be encouraged to take part in the life of our church and to help raise funds for camperships the following year.
All persons receiving camperships are expected to participate in the church sponsored campership fundraisers at CFUMC.
A Camper Information Form is to be submitted along with the camp registration for all CFUMC campers.
Completed registration and information forms should be submitted to the church office where they will be processed and sent to the Detroit Conference Registrar along with a check for the appropriate campership amount. Remaining camp fees must be paid by the camper at least 2 weeks prior to the event. If campers want to receive the Early Bird Discount in addition to their campership, they will need to attach their check for the balance of the camp fee to the registration form and submit it to the church so that it can be postmarked by April 30, 2001 as paid in full.
