The United
Methodist Church runs a number of camps throughout Michigan and
the United States. The camps run one week programs throughout the
summer and are available for use by groups throughout the years.
Camping programs are available for all ages 5 through 100. A brochure
of all the opportunities is available each spring. The Chelsea UMC
holds fund-raisers each year to help provide partial camperships
for anyone who wishes to attend.
Children and Youth
The variety
of camps for children and youth include Teddy Bear Camp, Mini Camp,
Woods Camp, Night Owl Camp, International Camp, Sports Camps, Soccer
Camp, Golf Camp, Summer Games, Baseball Camp, Water Camps (water
sports, sailing, fishing camps), Horse Camp, Farm Camp, Choir Camp,
Adventure Camps (backpacking, canoeing, or kayaking) , Leadership
Camps, Buddy Camps (helping a physically impaired camper), Hispanic/Latino
Camp, Senior High Camp, and Special Populations Camp (physically
challenged youth).
Adults
The United
Methodist camping program also provides several opportunities for
adults. These include Elder Camp (55+ years), Memorial Day Camp,
Labor Day Camp, Lake Louise Horizons ( age 55+), and The Labyrinth
as a Spiritual Path (women).

Families
The United
Methodist camping program also provides programs for families including
A Grand Week-end (grandparents and grandchildren) and Family Bridgewalk
(walk across Mackinaw Bridge on Labor
Day).
Chelsea First
United Methodist church will hold a spaghetti
dinner on May 8th from 5-7 p.m. to raise money for Camp Scholarships
at the church. Visit Grams Hall to sign up to volunteer or
donate food or money.
