What's
New
Worship
Schedule
Renew
at 8:30 a.m.
In
Christ, all things are made new. (Revelation 21:5) God is at work
in us - tending, nurturing, pruning, shaping - that we might be
renewed and strengthened for witness and service in the name of
Jesus Christ. Renew worship is creative,
celebratory, uplifting, and informal . Glory Choir, Youth
Choir, and Contemporary Choir, as well as a new “praise music team”,
add to the experience. Communion is the first Sunday of each month.
Mosaic
at 11:00 a.m.
Like
an intricate, beautiful piece of art fashioned from mosaic tiles,
Mosaic worship is a blending of deep traditions and practices of
Christian worship with newer expressions of worship. This spirited-traditional
worship experience includes music from the Chancel Choir, Praise
Choir, Grades 6-8 Choir, bell choirs, and orchestra. Communion is
the first Sunday of each month.
Third
Sunday of the month at 4:00 p.m.
Interdenominational
Worship Service takes place at The Pines, 325 Wilkinson Street.
The service takes place in the Community Room.
The
is sponsored by Chelsea First United Methodist Church.
Plan
to attend worship weekly, as we gather to praise and honor God,
and receive strength for the journey of faith!
Prayer
time in the chapel
Do
you ever find yourself wishing you could just step away from your
jam-packed, frenzied schedule for a little while, and slip into
a place where you could 'simply be'? The Chapel now has materials
waiting on a table for use by anyone seeking 'spiritual re-fueling'.

Reading the
Bible With Understanding, lead by Rev. Bob Brown in the
Room 2 Lower Level. Do you sometimes have trouble understanding
what a Bible passage means when you read or hear it? Do
you find yourself feeling confused, or even frustrated, when you
compare different scripture passages? Would you like to
gain a better sense of what the Bible is and how to read scripture
with greater understanding? Well, bring your Bible and come
together with others trying to figure out how to read the Bible
with understanding.
United
Methodist Social Principles, lead by
Mike Vanderspool
in the Upper room. What are the UM Church's stances on the
variety of social issues that surround us and impact our lives?
Issues like the natural environment, the role of science and technology,
marriage and divorce, human sexuality, abortion, racial/gender
discrimination, health care, migrant workers, gambling, church/state
relations, the death penalty, war and peace......... Where do
the Social Principles of our church come from? How do they
relate to our UM heritage and history? And how do UM understand
the relationship of the Social Principles to how we live our lives
as Christians? The Social Principles have been described
as a "prayerful, studied dialogue of faith and practice"
- come and join the conversation.
